MTR Instant Vada Mix (500 g) is a convenient, ready-to-cook powder formulated to prepare authentic, crispy South Indian medu vadas at home without grinding lentils. The mix typically yields vadas that are crisp and golden-brown on the outside while remaining spongy and soft on the inside
- Black Gram Dal (82%)
- Refined Wheat Flour (Maida)
- Edible Vegetable Fat
- Rice & Bengal Gram Dal
- Salt
- Raising Agent (Sodium Bicarbonate) & Malic Acid
- Asafoetida (Hing)
- Mix & Rest: Blend 1 cup of the instant mix with 1 cup of water to form a smooth batter. Let the mixture sit aside for 10 minutes.
- Enhance Flavour: Mix in finely chopped onions, green chillies, ginger, crushed black pepper, and fresh curry leaves into the rested batter.
- Shape & Fry: Wet your palms with water. Take a small portion of the batter, shape it into a classic donut disc, and deep-fry in hot oil on medium-high heat until golden brown. Serve hot with sambar or coconut chutney
